About Us

What is PALS?

PALS stands for Parents Association of Larson School. It is the equivalent of what many schools call a PAC (Parent Advisory Council) - we just happen to have a name that spells PALS, which felt fitting for our school community. PALS brings together the parents and guardians of Larson students. If your child goes to Larson, you’re automatically part of PALS.

Our goal is simple: build a strong school community and raise funds to support enrichment opportunities for Larson students!

What does PALS do?

Like most PACs, PALS works in partnership with the school to support students and strengthen the Larson community by:

• Organizing community-building events for families
• Coordinating volunteer opportunities
• Running fundraising initiatives that support school programs
• Helping fund items and experiences that fall outside of the school budget
• Providing a forum for parents to stay informed and connected

Throughout the year, PALS organizes activities such as the Welcome Back Social, Movie Nights, School Dances, Hot Lunch, Larsonpalooza, and other community events.

Why does PALS Fundraise?

Many important school resources are not covered by government or school budgets. Through fundraising initiatives, PALS helps support additional learning resources, school programs, and enrichment opportunities that benefit Larson students. Learn more about our fundraising initiatives and how funds are used on our Fundraising page.

Funds raised by PALS help support things like:

  • Technology such as computers, and learning tools

  • Extra classroom supplies

  • Books and educational materials

  • Guest speakers and cultural events

  • Field trips and transportation

  • Playground and outdoor learning equipment

  • School-wide experiences and enrichment programs

These contributions help enhance the learning experience for all Larson students.
